The Prime Minister of Nepal has proposed the Greater Lumbini Development Project, which is an important component of the country’s development strategy. The project idea was presented during Nepal’s third investment summit, which aims to attract foreign investment to improve Lumbini’s prosperity while also promoting Buddhist philosophy and Nepal’s role in world peace and tourism.

Third World Buddhist Summit: A Renewed Focus on Collaboration

Following the success of the Second World Buddhist Summit held in Nepal in 2004, Prime Minister Dahal announced preparations to hold the Third World Buddhist Summit. This gathering brings together Buddhist leaders and scholars to promote discourse and collaboration on themes of peace, societal harmony, and the preservation of Buddhist legacy.
