June 2, 2024—Kathmandu, Nepal: Pashupatinath, one of the most important Hindu temples, will be opening its doors earlier for devotees starting June 15th 2024.
Rewati adhikari from the Pashupati area development trust said,”From june 15,all the four main doors will be opened at 4A.M. He also stated that the initiative is being taken to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims who come for darshan.
Before, all four doors of Pashupatinath were opened only during main festivals like, Bala Chaturdashi, Teej, & Shivaratri.
As of now, only one door is being opened at 4A.M. and rest three are opened at 8:30 A.M.
This new policy comes in response to a rise in pilgrimage. The Pashupati area development trust anticipates a similar increase in devotees in the coming weeks, and this new measure will help streamline entry and manage larger crowds.
