
Rajesh Lama, from Nepal, has successfully walked 433 km from Kathmandu to the summit of Mt. Everest. He became the first person to achieve this incredible milestone.
On April 1st, the 28-year-old Lama left for his historic expedition, aiming to trek 433 kilometers to the summit of 8,849 meters (29,032 feet) of Mount Everest. He left from the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu.
On the twenty-fourth day of his difficult sixty-day journey, Lama reached Everest Base Camp. He then carried on climbing and ultimately achieved the summit.
Lama’s determination and focus enabled him to overcome countless challenges along the way, from rugged mountain trails to extreme weather conditions. His journey has inspired people across Nepal and worldwide.
This successful achievement by Lama is an immense moment of national pride for Nepal.
