June 25, 2024-Kathmandu, Nepal: China has announced to celebrate ‘Visit Nepal-2025’ to promote tourism in Nepal. This was disclosed by Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weitong during his three-day visit to Nepal. It was announced during a meeting with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday.
The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singh Darbar, where both parties discussed various issues of bilateral and mutual interest.
2025 will be the 70th year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal. Deputy Foreign Minister Sun mentioned that on the occasion of the 70th anniversary, China has planned to celebrate Visit Nepal-2025 to boost the tourism industry and motivate Chinese tourists to visit Nepal.
Deputy Foreign Minister Sun is in Nepal to participate in the 16th meeting of the Nepal-China Diplomatic Consultation Mechanism. This meeting aims to strengthen the cooperation and friendship between the two nations.
According to Rupak Sapkota, Prime Minister Dahal’s Foreign Affairs Adviser, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to China for continuing to support Nepal’s growth. Sapkota also said, PM Dahal stated Nepal’s plan to transform from the position of least developed country by 2026. He also acknowledged that China’s assistance will be crucial in achieving this target.
Prime Minister Dahal stated Nepal’s commitment to close cooperation with China, ensuring that the partnership continues to benefit both countries.
