Suvanga Parajuli, Under Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is the recipient of the Ralph Feltham Diplomatic Studies Prize 2024.
Every year, the award is given in memory of Ralph Feltham, the Foreign Service Program’s original director. During an academic year, the student who ‘best reflects the diplomatic spirit of the program’ receives the medal.
Parajuli, a professional diplomat originally from Nepal, is currently reading for an MSt in Diplomatic Studies while on sabbatical as a Chevening Scholar. He has studied international politics, public international law, international trade, and international finance as part of his education. Suvanga is investigating the motivation of civilizational nations for status as part of his dissertation research.
“I am honored to be the recipient of this award. I am thankful to the program’s director, Dr. Yolanda Kemp Spies, as well as the instructors, mentors, and staff who helped me learn extra. I especially thank Henriette Feltham, who, along with her late husband, bequeathed the funds needed for the honorarium,” he said.
We wish him all the best for his future and congratulate him on his great achievement.
