Koshi Tappu Reserve Achieves Rs. 4M Revenue in 2080/81

The Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve has reported a noting income of Rs. 4 million in fiscal year 2080/81 BS. This money was generated through a variety of means, including jungle safari revenues, eco-tourism activities, fines, and elephant riding fees, among others.

Assistant Conservation Officer Binaya Kumar Mishra stated that the majority of this money came from ticket sales, showing the Reserve’s growing popularity among tourists. The eastern region of the wildlife reserve which is specifically developed is a popular site for academic trips. It also gains significant interest from educational institutions.

The Reserve has set different prices for visitors from different places of the world. Tourists from SAARC member states pay Rs. 750 for a 12-hour visit, while those from non-SAARC nations pay Rs. 1,500. This price structure tries to control visitor flow while also ensuring the Reserve’s resources are managed properly.
