
Nepal is going to compete in the Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Trophy 2024 began on Friday, October 4. It will be held at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu. In the men’s division, teams are separated into four groups, with two groups consisting of three teams and the other four. The women’s teams were split into two groups of four. In the women’s division, Nepal has been drawn alongside the Philippines, Guam, and Uzbekistan. Their first play was against the Philippines at 11:45 a.m. which they lost 0-39 against Philippines. Their next games are against Guam and Uzbekistan set for later in the day.
According to Nepal Rugby Association (NRA) President Dipak Devkota, both the men’s and women’s teams are motivated to win their respective groups after four months of intensive training. The best teams from each group will proceed to the Cup competition, while the others will participate in the Bowl division.
