The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has established 14 passenger help desks to assist travelers heading to their hometowns for the Dashain and Tihar festivals. These temporary assistance booths are strategically located in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur to address passenger concerns and ensure a smooth travel experience.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabin Karki stated that the help desks are located at key locations such as Nagdhunga, Kalanki, Koteshwor, New Bus Park, and Satdobato. To ensure security and provide support, each desk is staffed by two traffic police officers as well as members of the local and community police.
The support desks are set to provide passengers with important details like fare rates, as well as help with any problems they may have. Officers at the counters also have the authority to check ticket pricing. It is to make sure that passengers are not overcharged or given fraudulent tickets.
The Valley Traffic Police is committed to ensuring a safe and fair travel experience for all passengers during the festival season.
