Shuklaphanta National Park, in the Kanchanpur district, is again open for jungle safaris. The opening was delayed this year due to heavy rainfall. Manoj Ayer, Conservation Officer, said that the park reopened last Thursday after infrastructure was repaired. Roads and bridges that led to the park were badly damaged. Due to this, they could not welcome the visitors.

Shuklaphanta National Park covers 305 square kilometers of land. It is known for its magnificent wildlife. It includes over 2,000 Swamp Deer and 44 Royal Bengal Tigers. The park is also home to many endangered species like rhinos, reptiles, amphibians, and birds. It is a popular destination for nature lovers.
Although major roads have been repaired. There are still a few minor roads that still need repair. Despite the delayed opening, park authorities are positive about drawing more tourists this season. Last year, the park saw over 3,000 visitors, including 250 overseas guests. With active tourist advertising, Shuklaphanta National Park is once again ready to provide an outstanding jungle safari experience.
