SAFF Women’s Championship, Nepal and Bhutan Aim for Semi-Finals

Two exciting matches will be played today in Group B of the current SAFF Women’s Championship at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar. The opening game, set for 1:30 p.m., will pit the Maldives against Bhutan. At 5:30 p.m., Nepal will face Sri Lanka.

Nepal now leads Group B with four points from two matches. It is followed by Bhutan, which also has four points. Sri Lanka is in third position with three points. The Maldives has lost both previous matches and is out of the semi-finals.

However, all team have a chance to go to the semi-finals. Nepal could ensure their participation with a draw against Sri Lanka, while Bhutan can do the same by drawing against the Maldives.

In Group A, Bangladesh and India have already gone to the semi-finals, while Pakistan was eliminated in the group round.
