Nepal batted first and scored 139/9 in 20 overs. Sana Prabin top-scored with 53 runs, followed by Sabitri Dhami’s 28 and Soni Pakhrin’s 19. Thailand struggled to maintain pace, scoring 33 runs in 16 overs.

This was Nepal’s second triumph against Thailand after a 67-run win in their first meeting. Nepal had previously defeated Kuwait by 108 runs but lost a tight encounter against the UAE by 13 runs.

Nepal, along with the UAE, Kuwait, and Thailand, are competing for a ticket to the 2025 ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup. It will be held in Malaysia. Each team plays two games against the other. The highest-ranked squad receives the ticket to qualification.

Nepal’s next test is a match against Kuwait on Tuesday. They look strongly motivated to secure their place in the tournament.
