On November 23, 2024, Sydney will hold the highly anticipated Nepal Festival in Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour. They have estimated that over 50,000 people will assemble to enjoy Nepali culture, cuisine, and customs. The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) NSW State Committee organizes this yearly festival to promote unity and cultural interchange between Nepalis and Australians.

According to Binod Kunwar, coordinator of the NRNA organizing committee, the festival will have 14 food booths in Tumbalong Park. Additionally, there would be 35 vendors at the Chinese Garden. It will showcase authentic Nepali foods, local handicrafts, and traditional products. The event will feature unique displays of handicrafts as well as booths promoting commercial items, educational services, and tourism perspectives from Nepal.
The estimated budget for the event is $250,000 AUD. This festival is a lively celebration of Nepali culture, art, and legacy. It acts as a bridge, linking Nepalis residing in Australia to their roots while also allowing Australians to experience the warmth and diversity of Nepali culture.
