The end of the countdown has arrived! Cricket fever shall overtake Nepal this Saturday, November 30, as the much-awaited Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024. It is also known as Siddhartha Bank NPL. The Nepal Premier League is being held at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. Presenting this opening edition, it will set a new guide for Nepali cricket with eight different teams battling it out in 32 exciting matches up to December 21.

Pokhara was bought as the most expensive franchise in team auctions in early 2023, for a whopping NPR 3.57 crore! The teams have worked hard to build strong squads, with a wage top of रू90 lakh for domestic players. To add a dash of stardom, eight of Nepal’s cricketing icons, including Sandeep Lamichhane and Rohit Paudel, were crowned marquee players during a special draw in September.
Fans can expect top-notch cricketing action at the TU ground, which has undergone a stunning transformation. Rich green outfields, computerized scoreboards, lengthy borders, and comfortable VIP seating—it is ready for world-class competition, and the site is expected to be excellent.
