Mark your calendars! This year’s 18th Chitwan Elephant and Tourism Festival will occur in Sauraha, Chitwan, from December 26 to 30. This yearly extraordinary festival promises to be larger and better than before. It is organized by the Regional Hotel Association Chitwan, United Hatti Operation Cooperatives Society Ltd., and the Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal.

According to Ganga Giri, President of the Chitwan Regional Hotel Association, this year’s festival will be much more exciting and spectacular than before. He also said that the event greatly increases visitor arrivals, increasing footfall by 25-30% each year.
A total of 80 elephants, both privately owned and government-managed, will participate in a variety of exciting activities. The event promises an exciting experience, with elephant races, football matches, and cultural presentations. The organizers have set aside an estimated budget of Rs 13.5 million to make this year’s event special.
