Afghanistan batted first but struggled against Nepal’s bowlers. Captain Hemant Dhami struck in the first over, dismissing Afghan skipper Mahboob Khan for a duck. Abhisekh Tiwari bowled another batter in the next over.

Faisal Shinozada fought back for Afghanistan, scoring 52 runs. However, wickets kept falling, and they were bowled out for 123 in 35.4 overs. Santosh Yadav and Unish Thakuri each took three wickets, while Dhami and Tiwari got two each.

Nepal’s chase was tough. Early wickets left them at 69/7. Opener Aakash Tripathi (9) and Mayan Yadav (1) couldn’t score much. But the lower order stepped up.

Naren Saud scored 26 runs, while Dhami added an unbeaten 22. Despite the pressure, Nepal reached the target in 41.3 overs with just one wicket remaining.

This win gave Nepal a positive finish to their Asia Cup journey. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka moved to the playoffs, winning their earlier matches.
