
Kathmandu hosts the Nepal Sandu (Binju) Cultural Week and Sandu Photography Exhibition with the aim of promoting cultural ties and tourism between Nepal and China. The event, organized by the Nepal Tourism Board, Nepalese Embassy in China, Nepal Photojournalists Association, and China’s Sandu Province and Sandu (Binju) Photography Association, spans a week and displays around 60 photographs at the Board premises.
Inaugurating the exhibition on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, Dr. Dhananjay Regmi, Executive Chief of the Board, highlighted the profound religious and cultural connections between Nepal and China. He expressed confidence that the showcased images would strengthen collaborative efforts in tourism development between the two countries.
Counselor Se You of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal emphasized the significance of the Sandu region, both culturally and naturally. The exhibition aims to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation in tourism development.
Dr. Kalyan Raj Sharma, Chairman of Nepal-China Friendship Forum, Shiv Adhikari, President of Nepal Association of Rafting Agents (NARA), and Li Jiang Ming, President of the Binju Photography Association, were among the attendees who proposed that such exhibitions further sweeten the relationship between the two nations and contribute to tourism development.
The program signifies the commitment of both Nepal and China to strengthen ties through cultural exchange, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation.
