Buddha Air, Nepal’s leading private airline, has added a new ATR-72 aircraft to its fleet, expanding its total fleet of ATR-72 aircraft to 16.
The new aircraft, an ATR 72-500 with a call sign 9N-ANW, is scheduled to arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport on Friday from France. It is expected to start commercial flights within a week after completing the necessary paperwork.
With the addition of the new aircraft, Buddha Air will now have 13 ATR 72 seaters and three ATR 42 seaters in its fleet. This will allow the airline to increase its flight frequency and capacity to major cities of Nepal, including Biratnagar, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Pokhara, Bhadrapur, Bharatpur, Dhangadhi, and other destinations, including Benaras in India.
