“Finance Minister Urges Faster Nijgadh Airport, Promises Quick Roads and Better Economy!”

Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has stressed the need for the Nijgadh International Airport project to take precedence over Lumbini and Pokhara airports. Speaking during the 110th BP anniversary celebration, Minister Mahat highlighted the importance of prioritizing the development of Nijgadh International Airport.

He noted that, ideally, Nijgadh International Airport should have been constructed ahead of Lumbini and Pokhara airports. However, the government’s failure to prioritize this project made it unfeasible.

Minister Mahat said that the fast road from Kathmandu to Terai will be finished in the next four years. At the same time, they will be working on the airport project. He talked about how Nepal can get a lot of energy and money from hydropower and tourism. He said it’s really important to build good roads and buildings to make this happen. He also said that not having good roads and buildings has made it hard to tell people about nice places to visit in Nepal.

Minister Mahat said, “We haven’t set our most important goals right. We need to focus most on Nijgadh Airport.” He also said that the fast track road would make the trip to Kathmandu much faster, only taking 45 minutes.

Minister Mahat thinks Nepal can have a big positive change in its money and jobs. He believes this can happen if everyone works together. He wants businesses to take the lead in making this happen, with the government helping out. He also thinks the government should spend more money on schools, hospitals, and roads. For now, he thinks businesses should mainly run things, and the government should make sure things are shared fairly.
