Big news! The group in charge of air travel rules in Nepal, the Civil Aviation Authority, has stopped two major helicopter companies, Shree Airlines and Fishtail Air, from flying in the Lukla area. They did this because these companies didn’t follow the rules for flying when the weather was really bad.
People from inside the Authority say that these companies are in big trouble now. They can’t fly their helicopters until they get the okay. This happened because one of the companies didn’t follow the Visual Flight Rules when they could only see 100 meters ahead.
The Authority is putting safety first. They’re saying that until they say otherwise, certain helicopters, the AS350 B3E models, can’t fly. The other helicopters can still go, but everyone needs to remember, rules are important, even in the sky. We’ll keep you updated on this exciting aviation story!
