Weather Update: Possibility of Light Snowfall in Nepal’s High Hilly and Mountainous Regions Today

The country is experiencing partial effects from the Westerly wind currently. Forecasts suggest partly cloudy skies in the hilly regions, with generally fair weather elsewhere, reports the Meteorological Forecasting Division. Meteorologist Saroj Pudasaini notes the likelihood of afternoon clouds in the hilly areas, especially in the Gandaki province, while the rest of the regions remain mostly clear.

Anticipate a chance of light snowfall at specific spots across the high hilly and mountainous zones in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces today, as mentioned by Pudasaini. In Kathmandu, the air temperature holds at 17 degrees Celsius, with visibility exceeding six kilometers, according to the Division. Expect partly cloudy skies with temperatures between 22 to 24 degrees Celsius in Kathmandu.

Tonight, the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces might observe partly cloudy weather, while the rest of the nation remains generally fair. Similar chances of light snowfall persist in specific areas of the high hilly and mountainous zones in these provinces.
