This airport, Nepal’s third international terminal, commenced operations on January 1, 2023, with an investment of 22 billion. Situated 3 kilometers east of the previous domestic airport, it’s slated to gradually take over its functions.
There have only been five foreign flights at the airport in the last 12 months.
