Request to Action: Removing Signboards and Banners at Pathibhara

The Pathibhara Area Development Committee wants all the signboards and banners scattered around the famous Tamplejung pilgrimage site to be removed. They say these ads and signs are making the place messy and harming the plants and natural beauty there.

The head of the committee, Prajin Hangbang, put out a notice last Sunday saying all these signs and banners need to be taken down within the next 15 days, by February 7th.

They’re saying these signs put up randomly along the paths are causing damage. Some are even fixed using sharp things like tree thorns and metal spikes, which are hurting the plants and trees in the area.

Hangbang and the committee are asking everyone involved to remove these signs and banners in time. They’re warning that if they’re not taken down by the deadline, the committee will have to take action to protect the environment.

The forests around Pathibhara have valuable plants like Rhododendron, Lauth Salla, Chiraito, Chyangre Sallaje, and medicinal herbs like Nikaulo and Malinjo. They’re saying these forests have special plants that make Pathibhara unique and beautiful.
