Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality has announced plans to host the ‘Mundum International Art Exhibition 2080’, with the slogan ‘The Pride of the City, Diktel’s Dignity, Mundum’s International Art and Cultural Recognition’. The exhibition is set to take place from February 15th to 17th, with the inauguration by President Ramchandra Poudel.
The exhibition will feature over 170 artworks by 50 artists from various countries. The organizers believe that showcasing the diverse cultural, religious, and tourist areas of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality and neighboring districts like Khotang will enhance the region’s cultural heritage.
From October 17th to 21st, 19 foreign and 24 domestic artists, along with 43 local artists, participated in tours of various cultural, religious, and tourist sites in the district. Additionally, 109 live paintings were created to promote local cultural, religious, and tourist areas.
Mayor Teertharaj Bhattarai highlighted that the exhibition will also showcase cultural glimpses of Rai, Newar, Gurung, Kshetri, Brahmin, and other ethnic groups. The event will witness the presence of former prime ministers, respected leaders from various political parties, officials from diplomatic missions, industrialists, writers, and other distinguished personalities.
