Nepali Youths Participate in World Youth Festival in Russia

A group of Nepali youths has traveled to Russia to take part in the World Youth Festival, which is expected to include participants aged 18 to 35 from 193 countries. Subodhraj Sherpa, the President of the Young Communist League (YCL) associated with the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center), is among them. Around 140 people from Nepal are attending the event.

Sudip Sharma, a leader from the Unified Socialist Party Nepal, mentioned that the Nepali delegation includes leaders, workers, athletes, and students associated with the YCL and the Student Union. He also stated that the festival’s main theme is “Youth Exchange,” focusing on discussions about social, economic, political, and cultural issues. Sharma emphasized the importance of cultural exchange during the festival.
