The alternate paths were chosen as alternatives to the ones impacted by the road work, guaranteeing that visitors would still be able to enjoy themselves in the breath-taking natural scenery uninterrupted.
These routes include the picturesque trails connecting Lupra to Muktinath, Thini to Tilichotaal, and Kokhethati to Sirkung, Sauru, Chokhopani, Chimang, and Dhumbatal.
To make your journey even more enjoyable, ACAP has initiated infrastructure construction, publicity, and promotion efforts along these routes.That means there should be informative signs, well-kept pathways, and maybe even a few comfortable rest areas along the route.
If you’re unsure where to find these hidden treasures, no need to stress. You can easily fly or take a stunning drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. It’s a beautiful drive from there to Jomsom, the Mustang entry.
Once in Jomsom, local guides and transportation options will be available to take you to the starting points of the newly identified trekking routes.
Though it has affected traditional hiking routes, road building in the area hasn’t reduced Mustang’s attraction. While the number of foreign visitors has slightly decreased, more local and Indian travelers are coming to appreciate this magical country. Not only is visiting the ACAP area, which includes the districts of Lamjung, Kaski, Manang, Mustang, and Myagdi, reasonably priced at Rs 1,000 for SAARC countries and Rs 3,000 for other countries, but it also helps preserve this special ecology.
