NTC has installed BTS tower in MBC-ABC route

4G services In MBC-ABC route

Nepal Telecom (NTC) has recently installed a new Base Transceiver Station (BTS) tower to extend 4G services on the Machhapuchchhre Base Camp (MBC) – Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) route. This move aims to provide reliable and high-speed internet connectivity to trekkers and locals in these popular tourist destinations.

According to NTC spokesperson Hari Dhakal, the company has built a new BTS tower in the region to ensure smooth 4G service. This is a part of NTC’s ongoing efforts to expand its network and improve service quality across every corner of Nepal. The tower has been installed at 4000 metres. Hari mentioned 2G service in deurali has been upgraded to 4G servoce.

The installation of 4G services in MBC-ABC will  benefit trekkers and mountaineers who often rely on internet connectivity for communication, navigation, and sharing their experiences on social media. Additionally, locals in these areas will also have better access to online services, education, and entertainment.

NTC’s expansion of 4G service in himalaya  is a big step forward in improving the overall experience for both visitors and locals in these iconic Himalayan destinations. As Nepal’s tourism industry grows, stable and accessible communication infrastructure is also critical to foster long-term tourism and economic prosperity.
