Flights at Mugu’s Rara airport, which were canceled for one week, began yesterday, July 9. Flights were canceled due to bad weather and heavy rains.
Krishna Rijal, Chief of Rara Civil Aviation Office in Talcha, said that with the improvement in weather, Summit Air and Tara Air began flights to Rara airport today.
Passengers were forced to stay in Mugu because of aircraft cancellations. Flights in the mountainous districts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces were hampered by thick fog after a week of heavy rain. Passengers are thrilled at the restart of flight service.
