Expanding the Horizon: Tripartite Agreement with Bangladesh
Nepal is set to become a regional energy hub. On July 28, 2024, a tripartite agreement will be signed to allow Nepal to export electricity to Bangladesh for the first time, using India’s transmission lines. This highlights the potential for greater regional energy cooperation.
India Reaffirms Commitment to Increased Cooperation
Ambassador Srivastava reaffirmed India’s commitment to strengthening mutual cooperation in the energy sector. His focus areas included continued support for electricity trade, the development of additional transmission lines, and the exploration of green hydrogen production – a clean energy source with immense potential.
Nepal: A Rising Star in the Energy Sector
