
Ramayan Resonance Art Exhibition is an art festival that showcases the shared cultural and religious heritage between India and Nepal. On Monday, the Embassy of India, along with the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), hosted the art exhibition “Ramayan Resonance. It celebrates a shared heritage,” which brought together art fans and cultural icons to remember Nepal and India’s longstanding links. It is being held in The NAFA hall which is located in Naxal.
Ms. Gargi Seth, a famous art administrator, organized the exhibition. It presents the timeless tale of the Ramayana through a collection of beautiful artworks. It reflects the two nations’ common cultural legacy. The event, held at the NAFA Gallery, showcases a wide range of visual theories, providing a new perspective on a historical event with profound religious and cultural significance in both nations.
The exhibition features five pieces by four Nepalese artists and 42 works by thirty Indian artists.
The exhibition was opened by the Hon’ble Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey, and Ambassador of India to Nepal, Mr. Naveen Srivastava. The opening ceremony was also attended by Mr. Narad Mani Hartamchhali, President of NAFA, and Ms. Anju Ranjan, Deputy Director General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
This week-long show, which runs from September 23 to 30, 2024, intends to increase the cultural relationship between India and Nepal. It highlights the two neighbors’ connected history and artistic partnership. Renowned artists, art enthusiasts, and politicians attended the event, demonstrating the Ramayana’s significance in building unity and respect for shared history.
“Ramayan Resonance” is more than simply an art exhibit; it is a celebration of the historical and creative ties that continue to exist between Nepal and India, allowing viewers to discover the Ramayana’s rich cultural legacy.
