Nepal Defeats Scotland by 5 Wickets in ICC World Cup League

Nepal secures victory over Scotland by five wickets today in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 match. The match was held at Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas. Scotland started the match by batting first. They scored 154 runs in 41.4 overs and set the target of 155 runs. Nepal scored 157 runs in just 29.5 overs and secured victory.

Scotland’s highest scorers were Mark Watt (34 runs off 40 balls), Richie Berrington (19 runs in 45 balls), and Michael Jones (10 runs in 29 balls). Brandon McMullen led their bowling attack with two wickets, while Bradley Currie and Jack Jarvis both claimed one.

Nepal’s main scorer was headed by Aarif Sheikh, who scored 51 runs off 42 balls and remained undefeated. Gulsan Jha and Kushal Bhurtel both provided vital runs, scoring 25 not out and 25 respectively. Sandeep Lamichhane led the bowling attack with three wickets, while Karan KC and Sompal Kami both got two each.

With this victory, the team improves their position in the World Cup League 2. They showed great all-around performance on the international stage.
