Pokhara will host the BYD International Balloon Festival from December 24, 2024, to January 1, 2025. The event will take place in the beautiful Pame area.

Nearly two dozen hot air balloons will fly across the sky. The flights will cover a three-kilometer stretch from Lauruk to Changkpur. Visitors will enjoy stunning views of the Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Dhaulagiri mountains, as well as the Pokhara Valley. Additionally, the breathtaking landscape will offer an unforgettable experience. Moreover, the unique combination of mountains and valley will make this event even more special for everyone attending.
Countries like the USA, UK, Spain, Japan, and Brazil will join, making it a global event.
The festival will also feature exciting activities like balloon glows, fireworks, races, and night camps. In addition, popular Nepali artists, including Deepak Bajracharya, Raju Lama, and Alina Chauhan, will perform daily, adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
Support for the event comes from the Nepal Tourism Board, NRNA, and Pokhara Metropolitan City. Celebrities Rajesh Hamal and Priyanka Karki are the brand ambassadors.
Inspired by famous festivals in the USA and Turkey, the event aims to make Pokhara a top adventure tourism spot. Balloon Nepal’s global success adds to the excitement, boosting hopes for Nepal’s tourism revival.
