Chitwan National Park’s information officer, Avinash Thapa Magar, said that by the end, the number of foreign tourists exceeded the domestic ones. It emphasizes the park’s global fame.

Its diverse wildlife and scenic beauty attract nature enthusiasts from across the globe.

Chitwan National Park released 41 gharial crocodiles into the Rapti River. The Gharial Breeding Center in Kasara raised these crocodiles. This three-phase effort aims to strengthen the gharial crocodile population in their natural habitat.

Plans are to translocate rhinos from the flood-prone western regions to the eastern part of the park. This is in response to an increasing number of rhinos and as a means of safety and sustainable conservation. Consultative meetings with conservationists, local communities, and government representatives are giving shape to the strategies that the park has for protecting wildlife and mitigating poaching activities.

The achievements of Chitwan National Park are a manifestation of its commitment to conserving biodiversity while also promoting sustainable tourism.
