The Bhanu municipality in the Tanahu district is making Chundiramgha, the birthplace of Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya, into a tourist spot for literature lovers. They’re creating a Sahitya Uddyanna, which is like a park dedicated to literature, in Bhanu municipality-4.
Poet Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya was well-known in Nepali poetry. Mayor Ananda Raj Tripathi said they’ve started working to make Acharya’s birthplace a tourism spot. The federal government has even allocated Rs 50 million for this project, and the Finance Ministry has recently released the budget.
Mayor Tripathi mentioned that President Ram Chandra Paudel has shown interest in developing this place, and construction of the literary park has started with his support. The budget will be used to buy land, make long-term plans, and put up statues of famous literary figures.
First, they’ll acquire land, and then they’ll plan for the long term. Mayor Tripathi expressed concern that the birthplace of Adikavi Bhanubhakta should not be ignored and deserves attention as a tourist destination.
Deputy Mayor Uma Gotame believes that once the literary park is built, it will attract both local and international tourists.
A total of 83 ropanis of land will be acquired for the park.
Dr. Jay Raj Acharya, the chairman of the Park Development Committee, said they would provide necessary support and advice for building the literary park.
