The Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee (SPCC), BYN Black Yak Co. Ltd, and Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) made an agreement in Namche Bazar, Solukhumbu, to help the icefall doctors.
The icefall doctors’ main job is to set up and maintain the climbing route for three months. They need to find and fix any problems that arise during each climbing season.
BYN Black Yak Co. Ltd provided equipment to the icefall doctors and promised to support them for the next five years. The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) helped organize this partnership.
