Increase in Visitors to Parsa National Park

Officials have noted a rise in both local and international visitors to Parsa National Park. Both domestic and Indian tourists have been observed in greater numbers than in prior years. 613 visitors to the park in the first eight months of current fiscal year is a considerable increase over the 140 visitors in the same period previous year.

To enhance visitor experience, a community homestay in the Sunakhari buffer zone offers local food. The park features endangered wildlife and various natural and religious landmarks like lakes and temples.

Thanks to ample water sources, the park’s population of Royal Bengal tigers and other animals has grown. A tiger census in 2022 recorded 41 tigers in Parsa National Park.

Acknowledging its tourism potential, Parsa Wildlife Reserve was elevated to a national park in 2074 BS, signifying a dedication to its advancement and facilities.
