A warm celebration was done to welcome Palesha Goverdhan, the first Nepali person to get a medal in the Paris Para Olympics. She was welcomed by lots of people from Nepal at her arrival to Tribhuvan International Airport. Along with her, the coach Kabiraj Negi Lama was also welcomed with a warm heart. After her arrival, she was taken to the National Sports Council in Tripureshwar. A grand rally was organized for her from Tribhuvan International Airport to the National Sports Council in Tripureshwar.
Many important people like Youth and Sports Minister Teju Lal Chaudhary, National Sports Council Member Secretary Tank Lal Ghising, athletes, supporters, and well-wishers awaited at the airport to congratulate Goverdhan and the team for their success in the Para Olympics.
To encourage her achievement Kathmandu Metro has decided to give her NRs. 5 Lakhs to Paralympics Bronze Medal winner Palesha Goverdhan & NRs. 3 Lakhs to Coach Kabi Raj Negi.
Nepal has been participating in the Olympics since 1964, Palesha is the first person to win a medal. She is now a pride of the country. She has now not only made a history but also inspired many Nepal’s that they can do it if they try. She has become a new light for the youth to help them guide in their path. The government along with Palesha Goverdhan’s success is now inspiring many youths.
