Buddha Air has established a third weekly service between Kathmandu and Varanasi. The airline, which previously flew on Mondays and Fridays, will now provide an additional service on Wednesdays. The decision comes ahead of the Dashain and Tihar festivals and to implement the tourism season, which will see an increase in visitors to India.
According to Buddha Air’s information officer, Dipendra Kumar Karn, the airline restarted Wednesday flights due to increased demand from visitors and pilgrims. “With the festive season approaching and the increasing number of travelers, we have adjusted our schedules to better serve our passengers,” said Dipendra Kumar Karn.
The flights, which take about 50 minutes, provide a beneficial link between Kathmandu and Varanasi. It is a major pilgrimage site for many Nepalese. The initial one-way cost is NPR 11,360 whose departure times from Kathmandu is 7:15 AM and Varanasi at 8:30 AM.
Buddha Air’s new flight is to provide customers with more flexibility, reducing travel overcrowding during the busy festival season and encouraging tourism in both nations.
This extended service strengthens Buddha Air’s position on the Kathmandu-Varanasi route. It also matches with the airline’s objective of meeting the rising demand for rapid and efficient travel during peak seasons.
