The 18th Chitwan Elephant Festival started on Thursday in Sauraha. The event aims to promote tourism through elephant-themed activities.

Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh inaugurated the festival. He said such events help tourism and boost the economy. He also highlighted the importance of protecting tourism-related activities and focusing on public benefits.
Elephant Beauty Contest, Elephant Football Penalty Shootout, and the grand parade of elephants, which will also include cultural programs, among others, are main features of the festival.
The festival will continue until December 30 in Sauraha and invite all to enjoy this unique event.
